WE SHIPPED 🚀
After months of late nights, "failed host lookup" errors, and countless cups of coffee, NaijaFlix v1.0.0 is officially live.
As of today, September 8th, 2026, NaijaFlix has been approved and released on both Dligtek Store and Palm Store.
This is not just an app launch. This is a statement.
#### **THE PROBLEM WE SAW**
6 months ago, I asked a simple question: "Where can I watch independent Nollywood films?"
The answers were frustrating.
"Check YouTube."
"It's on Instagram."
"That filmmaker posted it on their WhatsApp status."
For Nigerian filmmakers, comedians, and faith-based creators, the story was the same. Our stories were scattered. Our work was getting lost in algorithms built for Hollywood. We were building audiences on platforms that didn't understand us.
A comedian in Lagos with 100k followers could post a skit and get 2k views because the algorithm favored content from abroad.
A church in Abuja streaming Sunday service had to fight poor video quality and random takedowns.
An independent filmmaker in Enugu finished a beautiful movie, and the only option was to upload it to YouTube and hope for the best.
We needed a home. A platform built for us, by us.
That home is NaijaFlix.
#### **WHAT IS NAIJAFLIX?**
NaijaFlix is the ultimate streaming destination for premium Nigerian entertainment and media.
But more than that, NaijaFlix is a movement.
We are building the home for:
1. **Independent African Filmmakers** - The storytellers creating the next generation of Nollywood. Drama, Thrillers, Romance, Classics. Your films deserve more than to be buried on page 10 of YouTube.
2. **Comedians & Skit Makers** - The kings and queens of Nigerian humor. The people making us laugh through traffic, NEPA, and everything else. Your skits deserve a platform that promotes them.
3. **Faith & Church Creators** - The pastors, ministries, and gospel artists spreading messages of hope. Your programs deserve reliable streaming and a dedicated audience.
Built on lightning-fast edge infrastructure, NaijaFlix is designed to work well even with Nigerian data. We know how important data is. We know how frustrating buffering is. So we built NaijaFlix to be light, fast, and efficient.
#### **WHY NOW? WHY US?**
The global streaming giants have their place. But they will never tell Nigerian stories the way we can. They will never understand the joke in a Pidgin skit. They will never prioritize a church program from Port Harcourt.
The creator economy in Africa is booming. But the tools for African creators are still missing.
NaijaFlix fills that gap.
We are not trying to be Netflix. We are trying to be NaijaFlix.
The platform where a filmmaker in Benin can upload today and have 1000 Nigerians watching tomorrow.
The platform where a comedian can monetize without worrying about demonetization.
The platform where a church can reach its members without technical headaches.
#### **WHAT YOU CAN WATCH ON V1.0.0**
Version 1.0.0 is just the beginning, but it's powerful.
**1. Nollywood Cinema** 🎬
From drama to thrillers to timeless classics. We are partnering with independent filmmakers to bring you stories that reflect our culture, our struggles, and our victories. No more waiting for foreign platforms to "discover" Nigerian talent.
**2. Comedy & Skits** 😂
Nigerians are funny. Period. NaijaFlix gives local comedians a stage. Expect viral skits, stand-up clips, and original comedy series. Laugh without data waste.
**3. Faith & Church Programs** 🙏
Sunday service, mid-week service, conferences, gospel music, and inspiring messages. For ministries that want to reach their congregation and beyond, NaijaFlix offers a reliable home.
All of this is wrapped in an app that is only 57.54MB. Light on your phone. Light on your data.
#### **BUILT FOR NIGERIA, BUILT BY NIGERIA**
Every decision we made while building NaijaFlix was made with Nigeria in mind.
Data is expensive. So we optimized streaming.
Network can be unstable. So we built for reliability.
Creators need support. So we built tools for them.
This is why we chose to launch first on Dligtek Store and Palm Store. These are platforms that reach the phones Nigerians actually use. Tecno, Infinix, Itel, and more. Millions of potential users.
We are not waiting for permission. We are building.
#### **FOR CREATORS: THIS IS YOUR CALL**
If you are reading this and you are a creator, this message is for you.
Are you an independent filmmaker with a movie sitting on your hard drive?
Are you a comedian with skits that deserve more views?
Are you a pastor or ministry with messages that need to reach more people?
NaijaFlix was built for you.
We want to partner with you. We want to help you monetize your work. We want to help you build your audience.
No more 55% platform cuts. No more shadowbans. No more begging algorithms.
Just you, your content, and your audience.
DM us "CREATOR" or email us to get onboarded. Let's build this together.
